Hair Conditioner Base

A wonderful conditioning base which blends well with essential oils (up to 4% in concentration) or combine with rich oils such as Avocado, Jojoba or Coconut (up to 10% in concentration) to make specialised hair care products.

As you would expect from Naturallythinking our conditioner is parabens free.

The conditioning base is easily washed out, yet leaves a nourishing and glossy shine. Naturallythinking Conditioning Base does notbuild up like conventional conditioners, leaving your hair naturally bouncy and manageable with natural hair pH and ION regulators which restore the hairs pH and reduce the positive charge in the hair (the thing that makes it frizzy!) after shampooing.

Product Tips

Using Carrier oils in the base is an easy way to change the suitability for different hair types.

For example an oil such as Avocado will give intense moisturisation and a lasting shine (but may not make it suitable for greasy hair), whereas an oil such as Jojoba will give lasting day long protection with natural UV protectors which will help protect the scalp and create and protective coating on the hairs follicle, making it an ideal ingredient for any conditioner for summertime use.

All hair types, the base can be tailored using essential oils.

Application Directions

Massage into damp hair. Best used after shampooing. Rinse with clean warm water. Repeat as required.

Directions for Blending

Blend with essential oils and carrier oils to create custom hair care products. Blend up to 4% Essential Oils and 10% Carrier Oils for best effects. Blending is acheived by slowly stirring in your essential and / or carrier oils. Remember the greater the amount of carrier oil you put in the conditioner, the likely it is to make hair greasy, so it is a careful mix to get your blend correct. A sensible maximum for carrier oils is around 5% and 3% on essential oils.

Fragrance oils (as opposed to essential oils) can also be used in our bases, although as we only use natural essential oils we do not sell synthetic Fragrance Oils.

Shelf Life

12 - 18 Months

Shelf life will depend upon the ingredients you add. Adding oils which quickly go rancid can reduce the life expectancy of the product, whereas adding oils with natural long life can extend the product life further by enhancing the natural preservative system.
