Flax Seed Oil

Flax (Linum usitatissimum), plant of the family Linaceae, cultivated both for its fibre, from which linen yarn and fabric are made, and for its nutritious seeds, called flaxseed or linseed, from which Flax Seed (Linseed oil) is obtained

Suitability

Flaxseed oil contains both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which are needed for health. Flaxseed oil contains the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body converts into eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which is the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil.

The Omega 3 protein can help smooth the appearance of wrinkles by helping to repair the skin cells. Because of the high levels of Omega 3 in Flax Seed Oil, it has been traditionally used as a remedy for psoriasis in which the skin becomes inflammed and irritated.
