Common Uses of Clary Sage Essential Oil

Clary Sage is useful in stress reduction, help to calm the mind and ease anxiety. It is often regarded as natures antidepressant.

Skin

Clary Sage essential oil has astringent properties and is beneficial for oily skin and scalp conditions. Clary Sage can help balance the skins hormones, helping with both dry and oily skin.
 

Mind

Clary Sage has a euphoric, antidepressant effect and a calming, sedating influence on the nerves and emotions making it helpful for anxiety, depression and other stress-related problems.
 
Body
 
Clary Sage oil can be helpful with female related problems such as PMS/PMT, painful periods, irregular periods, scanty menstruation, the menopause and to aid relaxation during labour, thus encouraging a less painful birth (also widely used by pregnant women who are past their due date to encourage labour). It is a powerful muscle relaxant which can help with muscle pain, tension and spasm and has aphrodisiac properties which are particularly helpful where sexual problems are related to stress. It is also a useful tonic to use during convalescence or after childbirth.

    Clary sage essential oil has become one of my favourite essential oils. The sweet uplifting scent blends beautifully with sandalwood and lime. If you are into natural skincare, it blends incredibly well with unrefined cocoa butter and coconut oil. Highly recommended, will purchase again.
