About Polysorbate

Polysorbate is used to combine oils with water and is popular for its low toxicity and effectiveness. Although you cannot always guarantee it will clear the liquids (they may become cloudy), Polysorbate will make the oil and water mix.

If you are making room sprays etc., consider using coloured bottles and / or aluminium bottles where the consistency of the finished product in terms of cloudiness / clearness is less critical as different oil blends will cause the water to be cloudy or clear but will not be an indication of effectiveness. Polysorbate is always effective at mixing oils and water.
