Massage dates back in India some 4,000 years ago. The Indians used a form of massage incoporated within the ancient healing art of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is the Hindu practise of health care.
Massage has always played an important role in the everyday life of Indian people. From birth to adulthood, family members share the tradition of massaging each other which lends itself to bonding and caring. Indian Head Massage can be performed both with and without essential oils - this is simply a matter of preference. Oils can be used to encourage healthy hair and circulation and the use of oils is one of the reasons that Indian women have such healthy looking hair. We allow our clients the choice. Indian Head Massage was brought to England by a gentleman who incorporated a selection of movements which he had gathered whilst watching the Indian practitioners.
It is a therapeutic massage which helps to relieve aches and pains alleviating stress and rebalancing the energy flow.
