Carshalton Lavender, a background
South London (Carshalton & Mitcham) is the original home of Lavender, local projects to revive the Lavender fields have met with great success and Naturallythinking are pleased to have exclusive access to the Lavender Essential Oil produced from these farms – just minutes from our base in Carshalton, thanks to our friends at BioRegional and Carshalton Lavender Trust who have organised the regeneration, cultivating the Lavender from Original Carshalton Lavender plants.. The quality is stunning and we can honestly say we have never come across Lavender Essential Oil with such amazing scent, it truly is unique, it makes us proud it comes from right here in Carshalton.
Unlike many other essential oils, Lavender actually matures with age. The profit orientated aspect of commercial Lavender Production (even Organic Lavender), normally artificially ages Lavender by rotating it at high speed and passing over a Charcoal filter. Carshalton Lavender is aged by time an we are currently using 2005 Carshalton Lavender which has matured to the finest Lavender from our fields so far. Our 2006 crop was another stunning crop and we are currently allowing this to mature before using it in products, but initial chromatography indicates our esther levels are higher than ever before, even higher than High Altitude La vender... it looks to be a truly remarkable Lavender. |
