In order to benefit from the healing properties of essential oils, it is important that you purchase your essential oils from a reputable supplier. At Naturallythinking we take the quality of essential oils very seriously. We only offer 100% Pure Essential Oils which haven't been adulterated in any way. Always ensure the supplier you choose can guarantee that your oils are 100% pure, simply the words "natural" are not enough... If in doubt ask your supplier.
In order to ensure Naturallythinking Pure Essential Oils are only the finest quality, we establish links with the growers direct and wherever possible visit the farms the oils are grown on to ensure not only the conditions the plants are grown in, but the conditions the workers are treated. We do not purchase essential oils, simply because they are cheaper. Different climates, different places in the world, different seasons and different growing techniques can strongly influence the quality and the effectiveness of an essential oil, therefore we actively seek the best essential oils throughout the world.
As equally important as the growing, is the distillation - of course we always make sure the most appropiate way to extract the oils has been used, to maximise the effectiveness, rather than yield. It is important to inspect the facilities of the distilleries. We prefer, wherever possible to use suppliers with their own distilleries, we find a much higher quality of essential oil and extraction is gained. Commercial distillaries who extract on behalf of farmers and plantations can be less than ethical in both their production processes and quality - sometimes adding components at this stage and very often lying to the farmer about the level of yield, and not paying the farmer a fair price.

- Checking the correct botanical plant has been used in growing
- Checking Correct distillation processes were used employed
- Checking the oil visually for proper distillation
- Checking the odour of the oils for correct characteristics
- Testing the oils purity using GC or GC/MS technology

How can we offer our essential oils at such low prices
Buying the most expensive, as with many other things in life doesn't guarantee you the best quality, in fact with aromatherapy it can often be the opposite. Many other brands and high street retailers place huge profits on aromatherapy products. They keep aromatherapy as a niche market in order to preserve their profits. We at Naturallythinking believe in the virtues of aromatherapy and have the aim of making aromatherapy affordable. The oils you will often find in the shops or other high priced websites have so little turnover of oil that they can be out of date when you receive them.
How "Fresh" are Naturallythinking Aromatherapy Products?
As our aromatherapy products are at great prices we have a high turnover of oils, due to this you can be assured our oils are always "fresh" and pure unlike the oils you may find on the shelves in shops. We always test our stocks to check for any discrepancies in quality and consistency. Our entire bottling process is done by hand; we use no machines to bottle the oils, this allows us to continually monitor the products and gives you the quality only hand bottling can ensure.
Essential Oils: No essential oil batch is ever more than 1 month old. We check throughout the life of the oil that there is no degradation in quality. Oils are stored in an air conditioned, temperature controlled dark room, in dark containers to ensure their stability and quality.
Carrier / Base Oils: All base oils are stored in a temperature controlled room away from sunlight. Our high turnover of oils ensures no oil is ever over a month old. Oils especially vulnerable to temperature and age are kept in lower quantities to ensure freshness.
Hydrolates / Flower Water: Our Flower Waters have NO added ingredients, they are the pure Flower Waters. This makes them have exceptional therapeutic and beauty properties however more vulnerable to bacteria. To ensure against this we maintain a high turnover of flower water and pass those flower waters prone to bacteria build up through UV filters which kills bacteria without altering the composition. This ensure the maximum life of the flower waters when you receive them, whilst having no preservatives which can have detrimental effects on their therapeutic and beauty properties.
